Kent has a background in economics and is a senior research associate for Dalhousie University. Most of his research is currently focused on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on various aspects of individual behaviour.
Since reading Freakonomics in high school, Kent has been interested in economics. After studying it for his undergraduate degree at UNBSJ, he completed an MA in Economics at UBC in 2020. His favourite topics in the field of economics include health, environmental, and econometrics.
Outside of work, Kent enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, observing nature, and playing hockey and soccer.
