Bridget McCann, BSc

Originally from Pembroke, Ontario, Bridget obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University in 2022. During her undergraduate studies, she developed an interest in the intersection of health and society, specifically, in how the environments in which individuals live their lives can influence their overall health outcomes.

Currently, Bridget is a first-year graduate student in in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University. She is working on her thesis which explores government social spending in different countries. She is interested in understanding how social spending policies can be improved to promote greater health equity.

Outside of her academic pursuits, Bridget has a passion for staying active and enjoys going to the gym, playing women's league soccer, hiking, and relaxing at the beach.
